Katy Neale has over 18 years of clinical experience, having graduated from the University of Hertfordshire in 2001 with a BSc(hons) in physiotherapy. In 2008 she completed a Master’s in Musculoskeletal physiotherapy and became a member of the MACP. The MACP is clinical specialist qualification. She also established her own Pilates business Pilates-in-Motion in 2014 with classes in Edgware and Borehamwood.
As a physiotherapist Katy is keen to get to the root cause of any problem and take a holistic approach to patient care. She has worked in both NHS and private clinics and has now set up her clinic in Borehamwood.
Katy is passionate about exploring the cause of your symptoms. The aim of a physiotherapy assessment and treatment being to gain a full understanding of the presenting problem to reduce the incidence of future recurrence. Physiotherapy treatment initially provides symptom relief through a combination of manual therapy, soft tissue work, acupuncture, advice and exercise. She will then focus on full restoration of function and prevention, this may include advanced rehabilitation, postural and ergonomic advice.Katy works with you to ensure the best possible outcome, so that you can return to full health and fitness and engage in all your daily activities with confidence.
Katy enjoys working with a range of clients including back pain, neck pain, pregnancy related pain, sports injuries, injury prevention for sport events such as marathons, post-surgical recovery and adult and paediatric musculoskeletal pain.
Away from work you may find Katy skiing, surfing, swimming or reading. She is undertaking a diploma in herbal medicine and is keen to be outdoors where she likes foraging for wild herbs and food.
